Frequently Asked Questions

Individualized Supported Living (ISL) provides customized, person-centered support designed to help individuals live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities. At Future Care Inc., our approach focuses on empowering each person to direct their own life, pursue their personal goals, and receive the exact level of support they need to thrive every day.

Our ISL services are tailored for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities who are seeking personalized residential support and community integration in Missouri.

Getting started is simple. You can connect with us directly, and our team will guide you through the initial steps. We will help you establish contact with the appropriate entities and support coordinators to ensure a smooth and seamless on-boarding process.

Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) federal and state standards ensure that individuals receiving support enjoy full autonomy, privacy, dignity, and freedom of choice. At Future Care Inc., we strictly adhere to these guidelines by championing individual rights, ensuring lifestyle choices are respected, and providing an environment where participants have full access to the greater community.

Our team is our greatest asset. All Future Care Inc. Direct Support Professionals undergo thorough background vetting and rigorous professional training. Our staff is equipped in person-centered care models, safety protocols, and daily living assistance to ensure a secure, respectful, and high-quality support experience.

Community integration is at the heart of what we do. For us, it means active, meaningful participation in the local community. Our clients enjoy a vibrant routine that includes attending community events like dances, farmers' markets, county fairs, and Special Olympics events, alongside everyday activities like routine shopping and reliable transportation to and from work.

Each schedule looks different because every individual is unique. First and foremost, we closely follow each person's Individualized Support Plan (ISP). Beyond that, we rely directly on resident input to shape what their day-to-day life looks like—respecting their personal agency, honoring their choices, and letting them guide their own daily activities.

We believe that great care is a collaborative effort. Future Care Inc. works closely alongside families, legal guardians, and SB40 support coordinators to maintain open lines of communication, monitor progress, and ensure everyone is aligned on the individual's evolving needs.

Yes. We provide reliable transportation to ensure clients can safely get to where they need to go—including necessary medical and doctor appointments, as well as community integration outings, work commutes, and social events.

Safety and communication are foundational to our operations. All staff are thoroughly trained in CPR, fire extinguisher use, and essential home safety practices. To ensure safe and efficient operations, our DSPs utilize a structured buddy system for tasks that require it. Additionally, we use a combination of both synchronous and asynchronous communication tools to keep our team, staff, and partners seamlessly connected around the clock.
